![]() A MathCad user! I was so sad to see MathSoft go belly-up and MathCad basically "die" at MathCad 15. I did find "Mathcad Help" (key F1) at section "External Files and Applications" -> "OLE Automation" and further in the text choose the reference on "Developer's Reference". Where is the LabVIEW documentation for any of this. ![]() Mathcad complains about redefinition of variable, LabVIEW GetValue throws: "The requested value was not found in the worksheet"īeware: Do not save Mathcad file after running LabVIEW SetValue Run the VI, it uses GetValue to get OutputCĮnable the Disabled Diagram structure to also SetValue InputA, rerun VI The Mathcad file calculates OutputC = InputA + InputB I enclose a zip file with mc test.vi and Test A plus b.xmcd When I execute setValue, Mathcad complains that "This expression redefines a previously defined variable." I can open Mathcad, load a worksheet, use GetValue to read a value from Mathcad Isn't it the purpose of Input and Ouput fields in Mathcad? Or I didn't get it.I am trying to control Mathcad from LabVIEW ![]() The shape is exactly the same, so the calculation sheet for the flexion of the beam would work for all the materials, but I want to make it with different properties such as Young modulus and density, and compare all the results at the same time.Ī very similar way would work in Excel, by simply applying the same formula to many different lines of a material list with all properties for instance.Ī solution I can see would be to integrate a Mathcad worksheet in Excel as a formula. For instance, choose a material for a structure. The problem is really common in engineering: I have one problem but many different solutions that I want to compare. What I want to do seems really basic to me, but I spent hours looking for that and did't find a solution. I'm starting using Mathcad, so maybe I am just missing something. ![]()
